Bible Passage: Philippians 3:1-9
One thing that’s clear, as you learn well the gospel of Jesus Christ, is that God is not impressed with a flashy life resume. No number of good works, no commitment to religious duties, no family heritage will earn acceptance with God. Salvation is in Christ alone. As tempting as it may seem to try to earn our salvation, the gospel is Jesus plus nothing. The only ground of our salvation is the work that Jesus alone has done, and that Jesus alone could do.
