Persecution Advances the Gospel

As much as it may seem completely counterintuitive, and even illogical, the persecution of Christians can actually benefit the work of God! As much as the enemies of Christ might want to stop the spread of the gospel, God very often uses persecution to advance his cause. Many believers are emboldened in the gospel as they see their persecuted brethren persevere through trial. Even when Christians are put in prison, as the apostle Paul testifies, “the Word of God is not bound”!
