Pursue Servanthood – Part 1
Bible Passage: Philippians 2:3-8
In one of the most extraordinary and enlightening passages of the New Testament, the apostle Paul says that when Jesus Christ took on flesh at the incarnation, he didn’t reveal his full glory in some big, impressive and showy display. Paul says the Son of God took on “the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.” And “he humbled himself by becoming obedient” to the Father “to the point of death, even death on a cross.” As extraordinary as his example was, is there some way it should have an impact on our daily lives?
What should we learn from Jesus’ humility? Why is Jesus’ example so foundationally important to you and I as Christians, both individually and in fellowship with others?
